Forced Ignition - Installation Information
There are two options for installation.
If you do not have the skills or knowledge to fit the system to your own vehicle we recommend installation by a qualified and licensed auto-electrician or security systems installer in your area.
However your Forced Ignition system includes detailed installation instructions, so if you're the kind of person who likes to do all the work on your vehicle yourself, then the included instructions have all the information required to install and test the system.
Forced Ignition has advised that the average install time for a trained and qualified professional would be less than 30 minutes.
If your insurance company requires that the system provide 3 point immobilisation (so that the Forced Ignition system controls the starter motor, ignition coil and fuel pump), installation time will of course increase as there are greater time requirements in cabling etc.
If your insurance company requires that an immobiliser requires "3 point" immobilisation, an optional wiring harness is available that provides for "3 point" immobilisation. Click here for info.
Professional installation or do-it-yourself ... the choice is yours.
