These seat mounts are a patented side mount seat bracket system developed by OMP with dampers incorporated into the seat mount, in the form of shock dampening bushes.
The bushes help reduce the shocks transmitted to the seat in extreme racing environments.
This seat mount is FIA approved.
Pricing is per pair.
While these mounts are more expensive than standard non dampened mounts, if you have ever slammed your way through a Baja 1000, Dakar Rally or similar, you'll know that these kinds of extreme racing environments are very hard on the spine, and the value of these damper mounts becomes quickly apparent.

"Each year there are reports of spectators sabotaging or booby-trapping the course by digging holes, blocking river flow, or burying and hiding obstacles.
Racers are warned to beware of large crowds of spectators in remote parts of the course since it may indicate hidden traps or obstacle changes.
Many of the booby traps are not created to intentionally injure the contestants but are created by the local spectators as jumps or obstacles for spectator entertainment.
The haphazardly-designed jumps, created by the spectators, are very dangerous as the contestants may inadvertently enter the booby-trap at unsafe speeds, resulting in damage to the vehicles or injuries to competitors or spectators."
