The Shift-I is an incredibly innovative shift light system, which can be used on both cars and motorcycles.

It is available with both a straight housing and a curved housing, with either Green - Amber - Red shift lights, or Blue - Red shift lights for ultimate contrast.

The Shift-I system is the most complete, best engineered and most innovative shift light system we have ever seen.

It has been used on racing motorcycles since 2004, so it is extremely well tested in competition environments. Now drivers of 4 wheeled vehicles are discovering the many benefits of the Shift-I system that bike racers have been enjoying for 4 years.

The Shift-I system is designed and manufactured in Australia - it's built Aussie tough !

Is it easy to install ?

Very easy - in terms of electrical connections the Shift-I only requires three wires to be connected to your car - a positive wire, an earth wire, and a wire to a tacho signal - so installation is extremely simple.

As the Shift-I is available with both a curved and straight housing, and with a choice of Green-Amber-Red or Blue-Red high intensity LED's, it blends very well into any vehicle's dashboard.

Here are two photos of a Shift-I unit mounted on one of our demo display stands. It is shown here mounted to a CNC machined perspex mount used for display purposes only - do not use perspex in any steering system on any vehicle.

As you can see in the photos above, the Shift-I is very compact and easy to mount.

What are the benefits of using a Shift-I shift light system ?

With a Shift-I shift light system ...

• You decide exactly what revs the first light comes on at, and you decide what revs you want the Shift-I to flash the "change gear now" signal.


• As an example, you can set the Shift-I so that the first light comes on when at the bottom end of your optimal torque band, and the "change gear now" signal to activate at the top end of your optimal torque band ...


• This helps you keep your engine operating in the range where you have the most torque available, and helps you eliminate excess wear caused by needless over-revving after your peak torque has already been reached.


• It's super bright shift lights are seen in your peripheral vision, so you no longer need to keep one eye on your tacho and are free to concentrate on your lines, apexes, and braking points


• At night the Shift-I dims automatically to a night setting


• You get a smooth and consistent anticipation of your shift point


• It reduces driver workload and fatigue, both in sprint races and endurance events


• It provides drivers with reference points for performance


• You get immediate feedback on cornering entry and exit RPM


• You can achieve consistent staging RPM for standing starts & launches - so no more watching the tacho on the start line !


• In enduro events you can manage your fuel by short shifting at an indicated point below the peak RPM

Some fitments only need a simple bracket to position where desired - above is an example for information purposes only of a simple bracket used to mount a Shift-I, provided by the Shift-I's manufacturer.
