We have available 2 units only of a very special lightweight carbon kevlar version of the Recaro Profi SPA seat.
They were manufactured for use in the Australian V8 Supercar series and for Rally use.
Only two units of this special lightweight carbon kevlar version of the Recaro Profi SPA seat are available.
The photos on this page are of the actual seats for sale.
These are an absolute top of the line professional racing seat.
They are new old stock (never fitted) that have been sitting in a warehouse.
The Recaro build sticker on one of these special lightweight versions of the Recaro Profi SPA states that it weighs just 2.61 kg.

We are advised that the special lightweight versions of the Recaro Profi SPA which are available weigh just approx 2.6 kg each which is a weight saving of approximately 35% compared to the standard version of the Profi SPA.
Please note that as each seat is weighed after mnufacture, there may be a very small variance in weight between each seat.
Pricing
The standard Australian retail price on the standard 8.8 lbs (3.99 kg) version of Profi SPA is Australian $3,600 each.
We are advised that at the time they were made, the production run of 2.6 kg lightweight Recaro Profi SPA seats were sold to the V8 Supercar teams for approximately AU$5,500 per seat.
The two 2.6 kg lightweight Recaro Profi SPA seats are available at AU$3,600 each. So this price is the same price as the standard Australian retail price on the standard 8.8 lbs (3.99 kg) version of Profi SPA, but for the same price you get a seat that provides a weight saving of approximately 35%.
Our price on the 2.6 kg lightweight Recaro Profi SPA seats is a saving of approx 34% compared to what these seats previously were sold for, saving you a massive AU$1,900 per seat.

Build Date & Category Eligibilty Info
The build/manufacture date of the two seats we have available is February 2004.
We spoke to the Confederation Of Australian Motorsport's (CAMS) technical officer this week.
CAMS has advised us that these seats can be used in many CAMS sanctioned national level, state and club events.
CAMS said that as these seats were manufactured more than 5 years ago, they cannot be used in FIA level events like WRC, Asia Pacific Rally or V8 Supercar events.
CAMS basic seat regulations are contained in Schedule C of the CAMS regulations. CAMS base regulations do not require the FIA standard.
Some of sporting regulations for Australian categories require an FIA homologated seat manufactured less than 5 years ago. If your category's regulations do require an FIA homologated seat, then the FIA time limit of 5 years from manufacture date applies.
Please check with your local sanctioning body and check your class rules to ensure that these seats are legal for use in your racing series. Alternatively contact us and we can refer to the CAMS technical officer to check on eligibility of these seats for the category you compete in.
