Gift Certificate Fraud Prevention Measures
Unfortunately there are a small number of people in the world who try to use gift certificates for dishonest purposes, by using a number of methods such as buying gift certificates using stolen credit cards then trying to redeem the gift certificates for cash.
We have therefore needed to implement some additional terms and conditions for Gift Certificate orders to prevent fraud.
Below are the terms and conditions which apply to gift certificate purchases in addition to our standard terms and conditions.
We reserve the right to change these conditions at any time, and the bottom line is that if we think someone is trying to do anything dishonest, we reserve the right to dishonour any gift certificate and refund the gift certificate purchase amount to the original purchaser's credit card which the gift certificate was purchased with.
To prevent fraud please note that the design of the actual certificate that you will receive is of a different design to the photos of gift certificates on our site, but it is a very high quality certificate design, with an individual serial number and your optional personal message included.
Again to prevent fraud, gift certificates are not redeemable for cash, and can only be redeemed in their full amount for physical products.
If a purchase is made for less than the full gift certificate amount, the remainder cannot be redeemed for cash.
Gift certificates cannot be used to purchase other gift certificates.
We reserve the right to reject any order to purchase a gift certificate.
Refunds can only be made to the credit card that the gift certificate was purchased on.
Gift certificates are not transferable and may only be redeemed by the person whose name is on the gift certificate as the recipient, with goods purchased by redeeming a certificate only shipped to the recipients street address (no PO boxes), and we may require proof of identity and street address.
Gift certificates are valid and redeemable for 12 months from the date of purchase only.
We reserve the right to delay redemption of any gift certificate if we suspect attempted fraud, and reserve the right to contact the card holder, the cardholders bank, fraud prevention agencies and law enforcement.
